What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving (2nd Shift) position at Paper Dimensions LLC?
Shipping/Receiving/Material Handling
Reports To: Shift Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities include the following though other duties may be assigned:
Shall be able to lift up to 80 lbs. for palletizing finished products.
Responsible for the proper use and safety of lift trucks at all times.
Responsible for ensuring food safety and product quality by properly packaging products for shipping purposes.
Responsible for loading and unloading of all shipments.
Ensures food safety and security by performing truck/trailer inspections before loading or unloading products, documenting the results as they are performed.
Keeps machines furnished with stock and clear of finished products at all times.
Ensures food safety and quality standards are met by following all internal operating procedures, GMPs, FDA, customer, and SQF requirements.
Keeps pallet area cleaned up and pallets stacked in the proper places and in neat stacks.
Maintains organization of the warehouse by grouping same-type-materials together, using warehouse racking as appropriate, putting extra pallets and/or materials away (rolls, cores, etc.)
Responsible for product quality by weighing and wrapping the product immediately upon completion of a job.
Responsible for identification of the products immediately upon completion of a job.
Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse and dock areas via sweeping, emptying garbage cans, cleaning windows, removing cob-webs, etc.
Communicates Safety and Quality Issues with Supervisor or Quality Control in a timely and professional manner.
2nd shift employees will receive a +$1.00 per hour shift differential.
Must be Forklift Certified
