Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Driver - Independent Contractor to join our team. This role involves providing efficient and professional delivery services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in customer service, warehouse operations, and commercial driving, with the ability to handle various types of cargo using different equipment. This position offers flexibility for independent contractors who are committed to timely deliveries and excellent service. This is a part time route that delivers to local pharmacies. Hours of operation are usually 6:30 am-12 noon.
Duties
- Safely operate cargo vans and/or small box trucks for local deliveries and route driving.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Deliver packages and goods to customers efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or customer locations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and route details.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally during deliveries.
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and driving routes within local areas.
- Customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving large or bulky items safely.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and manual handling tasks. This role is ideal for independent contractors who value flexibility, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to delivering outstanding service while adhering to safety standards.
