Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and OpenTable reservations with precision and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, adhering to food safety standards
- Provide attentive customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations
- Support other restaurant operations such as food handling, basic math calculations for bills, and assisting with food preparation when needed
Qualifications
- Prior restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including, and OpenTable is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill calculations
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
