Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, taking orders accurately, and providing knowledgeable recommendations.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, including daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems, such as OpenTable.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring all orders are correct.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and adherence to food safety standards.
- Process payments using cash registers or POS systems efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining environments.
- Familiarity with culinary terms and menu items is advantageous.
- Proficient in using POS systems; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
