What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Waiter position at Ocean sushi & ramen?
Ocean Sushi Ramen is a locally loved sushi and ramen restaurant known for our welcoming atmosphere, quality food, and strong team culture. We’re currently looking for a friendly, motivated, and guest focused Server to join our front-of-house team for lunch and dinner shifts.
As a server, you’ll play a key role in creating a great dining experience from start to finish. You’ll interact directly with guests, guide them through our menu, and ensure every table feels taken care of. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy hospitality, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Greet guests promptly and provide warm, attentive service
- Take food and drink orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Answer menu questions and offer recommendations on sushi, ramen, and drinks
- Promote daily specials and beverages when appropriate
- Check in with guests throughout their meal and resolve concerns quickly
- Keep tables, service stations, and dining areas clean and organized
- Work closely with hosts, bussers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle payments and cash/credit transactions accurately
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts
- Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and team oriented
- Availability to work both lunch and dinner shifts
