Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and cash handling to ensure smooth functioning.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees while providing comprehensive employee orientation and ongoing training & development.
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and budgeting processes to maintain financial health and operational efficiency.
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential and ensure attractive product displays.
- Implement effective marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost store visibility and customer engagement.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory management, and reporting purposes.
- Supervise shift management, ensuring adequate staffing levels and efficient task delegation to meet sales goals.
- Maintain excellent communication with team members through phone etiquette, organizational skills, and leadership to foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong skills in negotiation, customer service, retail math, and sales management.
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency in inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and store bookkeeping.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities including team management, supervision experience, and effective communication skills.
