Position Summary:

Our new Lead Application Engineer will help Pantheon Electric modernize a mission-critical, homegrown enterprise platform that supports core business operations across finance, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain. This is an active leader role blending hands-on engineering with technical leadership and long-term platform ownership, with responsibility for shaping the platform roadmap and building the team that will support it long-term.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the internal technical lead embedded with consulting teams during modernization.
• Drive architecture discussions and engineering standards; enforce code quality and long‑term maintainability.
• Contribute directly to a TypeScript‑based, Azure‑native rebuild and spend meaningful time in the codebase.
• Partner closely with cloud, data, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable outcomes.
• Own the modernized platform roadmap, enhancements, and production stability as the long‑term technical owner.
• Lead and grow the internal engineering team while maintaining hands‑on technical leadership.
• Scale the platform to additional business units and evolve capabilities over time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• 7 years of experience within similar role preferred
• Demonstrated experience building and leading complex, custom enterprise applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms and improving maintainability and scalability.
• Hands‑on proficiency with modern application development (TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern UI framework).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
• Ownership mindset with a focus on long‑term platform health, code quality, and operational stability.
• ERP and/or finance‑heavy systems experience.
• Experience designing, deploying, or operating Azure‑native applications in production environments.
• Experience establishing engineering best practices (SDLC, code reviews, testing strategy, CI/CD).

Travel & Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid work is expected (2–3 days per week in Stamford, CT).
• Occasional travel is expected (<10%), with slightly higher travel during modernization for collaboration in Central NY.
