What You'll Do
The Communications Representative is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering comprehensive company communications, community/public affairs, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. This role involves crafting and executing strategies to effectively communicate company information and initiatives to diverse external audiences, including media, stakeholders, and employees, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and brand messaging. The representative will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with the public and enhancing the company's reputation as a valued corporate citizen.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, write, and distribute a wide array of communication materials across various print and broadcast media, such as employee communications, presentations, press releases, statements, magazine articles, speeches, scripts, and content for intranet and public-facing websites
- Develop, implement, and administer internal and external communications strategies, community/public affairs programs, and corporate social responsibility initiatives
- Formulate and execute communication plans to disseminate company information and key initiatives to external audiences, including media, stakeholders, and the broader public, as well as to internal employees
- Contribute to, and support, educational and community outreach programs designed to strengthen company business objectives and public perception among the public, industry, stakeholders, media, and employees
- Conduct briefings for public and media representatives on pertinent business issues and company developments
- Represent the company at community meetings, events, and public forums as required
- Address inquiries from employees and customers related to the company's community engagement activities
- Maintain current knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues relevant to communications and public affairs, and engage with local government entities as necessary
- Coordinate Pantex United Way Campaign and Employee Committee

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- OR a Master's degree with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- OR a PhD with no experience
- OR applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 13 years of completed education and/or relevant experience

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
