- Performs all types of work associated with Yard and grounds maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, ditch digging; placing, patching, breaking, cleanup, pouring, and removal of concrete and masonry; road repairs, weed cutting; trash cleanup; fence building and repairs; roof and building repairs; railroad track maintenance; moving furniture, fixtures, and equipment; application of herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, and fertilizers.
- Performs the above and other work under the direction of the Craft Supervisor.
- Duties may involve working with hazardous waste, chemicals, substances and materials.
- Responsible for proper care of tools and equipment for performing work in a safe manner.
- Responsible for maintaining a knowledge of applicable Federal, State, DOE, Corporate and Plant rules, regulations, Labor Agreements and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Required to attend and/or successfully complete training classes as determined by the Training and Development Technologies Department, through General Employee Training (Reference DOE Order 426.2), and Management.
- Participates in worker involvement including input to work planning and methods to identify hazards and controls.
- Understands a worker's right to stop work when they feel their own or other's personal safety is jeopardized.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
