Owns the end-to-end architecture across Databricks, Fabric, and Power BI. Ensures the Enterprise Customer workspace model, mirroring strategy, and semantic layer are scalable, secure, and aligned with business use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Design and govern end-to-end data architecture:
Databricks → Unity Catalog → Fabric (OneLake) → Power BI
Define and enforce:
Semantic Layer and use respective Fabric/Databricks technology to support and maintain Enterprise and Customer workspace
Own data access patterns:
Mirroring vs Direct Lake vs Import vs DirectQuery
Establish performance strategy:
Dataset design, aggregation, concurrency handling
Ensure security architecture:
Unity Catalog Fabric RLS/OLS alignment
Define CI/CD pipelines (Dev → ACC → Prod)
Validate architecture against use cases and scalability
Key Skills
Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Direct Lake, Pipelines)
Power BI semantic modeling (enterprise scale)
Azure Databricks & Unity Catalog
Data architecture patterns (lakehouse, medallion)
Security models (RBAC, RLS, OLS)
Performance tuning & large-scale BI systems
