Mechanic

Location: Cambridge, OH

Panhandle Oilfield Service is seeking an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet, trailers, cranes, forklifts, and oilfield equipment. This hands-on position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing quality repairs that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, forklifts, and oilfield equipment.
• Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, steering, suspension, brake, cooling, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair DEF and emissions systems.
• Install and replace engines, transmissions, and other major components.
• Perform welding and light fabrication as needed.
• Process parts orders and maintain repair documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Communicate equipment repair needs and status with operations personnel.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What It Takes

• Minimum 3 years of diesel, heavy equipment, or oilfield mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with diesel engines and DEF/emissions systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repairs.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL A preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime when business demands require it.

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, and work underneath equipment.
• Stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
