What are the responsibilities and job description for the INSPECTION HELPER position at Panhandle Oilfield Services Companies, Inc.?
This is a great opportunity to get started in the Oil & Gas industry. While working in the field, you will train to inspect pipe and working on a crew. This involves intensive labor including bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, twisting most of shift. Lifting to 50 lbs., working in the outside elements and clean pipe connections.
- Perform inspection duties primarily on drill pipe and pipe related coatings
- Visually and dimensionally inspect pipe and/or pipe coatings
- Maintain records of inspection as necessary
- Perform minor repairs and cleaning of the equipment and facilities keeping them in a safe condition
- Help maintain inventory of supplies and/or shop equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check
- Previous oilfield experience is preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in adverse conditions (heat and cold) Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, balance, climb, and reach overhead.
- Must be able to handle (using both hands and arms and rotation of the hand or wrist).
- Must be able to manipulate fingers to pick, pinch or, otherwise working with fingers primarily.
- You must be able to walk, sit and stand for an extended period.
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, and lift to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to engage in coherent speech and possess the capacity to hear loud and soft noises.
