A well-established, rapidly growing personal injury practice in the Birmingham area is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of personal injury litigation experience and be ready to step into an active caseload immediately. This role requires strong courtroom presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Alabama law license in good standing
- 3–5 years of personal injury litigation experience
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
- Passion for client advocacy and results-driven work
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze personal injury claims for viability
- Conduct investigations and gather supporting evidence
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout their cases
- Manage assigned caseload efficiently and supervise support staff as needed
