What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Supervisor position at Panel Built Inc?
Panel Built Inc. (PBI) is looking to employ a dedicated and experienced site supervisor to oversee construction projects on site at various locations.
To be successful as a site supervisor, you should be detail-oriented and knowledgeable of industry standards and construction safety regulations. Ultimately, an outstanding site supervisor should be able to read and comprehend basic/modular steel building plans as well as demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned work location(s), including, but not limited to:
- Inspect the site(s) regularly to identify and eliminate any potential safety hazards.
- Supervise and instruct the installation team, including daily briefings held on site.
- Communicate with subcontractors and the PBI team to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Prepare detailed project reports documenting progress and any issues to PBI management.
- Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that arise and escalate appropriately to PBI management.
- Review build drawings to verify project meets design and safety requirements.
- Provide feedback to PBI on any recommendations regarding products supplied by PBI.
- Extensive travel/on-site attendance required – 80% travel.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Proven experience working as a successful site supervisor, will train otherwise qualified candidate
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- OSHA and first aid certifications - or the ability to complete employee-sponsored training programs.
- Ability to read and understand basic/modular steel build drawings.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication (verbal, written) skills.
