Summary of Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Field Human Resources partners with Operations management (VPOs/RDOs/ACOs/GMs) in support of Panda's Culture and Environment, Leadership Development, Associate Relations, and Engagement and Retention, typically three Regions.This position works with management to enroll store associates in the company's mission, values, and culture.The Senior Human Resources Manager (Field) works with oversight by the FHR Director based on experience.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Culture Ambassador to elevate our culture and environment by connecting with managers and associates during store visits.Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to the leadership team for growth.Promote a culture of recognition/acknowledgement to improve employee engagement. Develop and implement strategies to improve retention.
  • Serves as a strategic business partner by working closely with SVP, VPOs/ZVPs/RDOs to ensure HR practices align with business objectives and support the overall strategic direction.Defines current & future needs of the region/zone. Conducts regional/zone analysis to identify improvement areas and provide recommendations.
  • Provides ongoing performance coaching and feedback to Operations leaders regarding issues of management style, communications, associate interactions, performance management, and career and leadership development.Focuses on the development of ACOs and above to elevate their competencies and leadership skills.Provides training to store level managers and above to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Partners with Associate Relations team to support Ops leadership on associate relations issues and progressive discipline process.Provides guidance on corrective disciplinary processes.Follows up to ensure improvement and progress.
  • Facilitate semi-annual People Planning and participate in panel interviews to calibrate people assessment, evaluate current bench and identify future needs to support the region/zone's growth.
  • Partners with legal and participates in resolution of associate relations cases, EEOC claims, attorney letters, mediations and lawsuits.
  • Reviews AIM surveys, conducts 360 surveys or Management Style Surveys for Ops management team to identify areas of strengths and improvement areas.
  • Analyzes HR metrics and data (turnover, AR cases, minors workforce, effective store visits, Corrective Action Index, etc.) to identify root cause and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Supervises field HR staff; providing associate(s) with development and coaching, performance evaluation, and career progression opportunities.

Work Environment

  • This role involves regular local travel and occasional overnight travel (25-50%), varying by region. Candidates must be able to meet these requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Your background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; business and/or HR majors preferred.
  • 10 years of HR experience, with 5 years of HR Generalist experience in associate relations, training and development, recruiting, and people management or equivalent Operations management experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment.
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: M3: $127,000 - $178,000/Per Year

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
