Overview

This role sits at Global Operations (G-COO Office) and acts as the strategic owner and governance leader of global logistics, driving competitiveness, resilience, cost efficiency, and compliance on a worldwide scale. A critical priority of this position is to design and execute the internalization (in-sourcing) strategy of logistics capabilities that have historically been outsourced. While logistics operations are physically executed by regional operating companies (e.g., PASA in North America), this role ensures global alignment, standardization, governance, and performance transparency, working in close partnership with regional logistics leaders.

  • Partner with regional compliance and legal teams to ensure consistent interpretation, implementation, and audit readiness.
  • Develop global risk mitigation and contingency planning for logistics disruptions (geopolitical risk, capacity constraints, regulatory changes, natural disasters).

KPI, PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & COMPETITIVENESS

  • Define and deploy global logistics KPIs to measure cost, service, reliability, resilience, and compliance performance across regions.
  • Ensure transparency and comparability of logistics performance data worldwide.
  • Conduct periodic global and regional performance reviews, identify systemic gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Benchmark global logistics performance against industry best practices and lead actions to close competitive gaps.

REGIONAL COLLABORATION & ALIGNMENT

  • Act as the primary strategic partner and coordinator for regional logistics organizations, including North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, China, and Japan.
