Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, product demos, and store navigation.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Manage merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store remains attractive and well-organized.
- Conduct basic retail math to accurately handle transactions, give correct change, and process returns or exchanges.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment as needed.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse customers, including bilingual interactions if applicable.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Proven supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in grocery retail is advantageous.
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks throughout shifts; attention to detail is essential.
