Job Title: School-Based Therapist
We are looking for a School-Based Therapist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in promoting the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being of our diverse student population, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed in a rigorous and inclusive academic environment. The therapist will provide direct mental health services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and family engagement. In this collaborative role, the therapist will work closely with educators, administrators, and families to implement trauma-informed and culturally responsive interventions aligned with the school’s mission and values.
What you bring to the table

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

Current Pennsylvania licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or working toward licensure under clinical supervision

Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic practices

Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions for students

Skill in using trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches to support student wellness

Excellent oral and written communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and community partners

Ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and staff to foster a safe and supportive school environment

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in school-based mental health services

Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 10 months, exempt
- This position is for in-person work at our location
- 180 instructional days, 191 work days (new staff members work additional days for induction/orientation)
- In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable
- To be eligible to work for Pan American Academy Charter School, you must complete and submit background clearances and paperwork prior to your start date. We can accept clearances that are less than one year old from the date a new employee presents them to Human Resources.
