What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician - Pet Resort position at Pampered Pets Inn?
As our Facilities Technician, you’ll assist in the maintenance of our buildings, equipment, and grounds. You’ll perform repairs, upgrades, and work with contractors and service providers. Your work ensures our operations run smoothly and supports our team in delivering top-tier pet care.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance tasks and improvements as assigned
- Conduct repairs, painting, construction, and upgrades
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment
- Manage multiple tasks at a time
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Maintain the exterior and landscaping of the property
- Escort pet guests through the facility as needed
- Provide regular updates to your supervisor
Reports To: Facilities Supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in carpentry, painting, construction, and facility maintenance
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with animal handling and plant care is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Requires climbing, balancing, standing, sitting, walking, physical stamina, writing, repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing over 100 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Tolerance for loud noises and odors
- Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency repairs

We are a family owned and operated pet resort located in Mooresville, NC. We provide the Lake Norman area with luxury dog and cat boarding, interactive dog daycare, premium bathing services, and expert dog training. Our state of the art facility is located on 2.25 beautiful acres adjacent to woods and wetlands.
