Job Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure facilities, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional and well-maintained
Responsibilities:
- Electrical experience is required for this position.
- Additionally, he/she must possess good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
- Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude is critical to success.
- Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a somewhat frequent basis.
- Conduct inspections of sprinkler valves and fire extinguishers
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate records and files
- Perform flow test as required
- Coordinate and schedule required inspections with outside contractors
- Monitor, track and replace filters in air-conditions and Make-up air units
- Repair and replace lighting fixtures as needed
- Safely operate 60'-boom lifts
- Troubleshoot and assist with crane-related issues
- Support facility improvement and maintenance projects as assigned
- Maintain oil spill kits; inspect oil storage area for leaks; dispose of spills properly
- Inspect emergency lighting monthly and complete required checklist
- Obtain bids for installations and repairs
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs on low-voltage systems and equipment up to 480 volts
- Perform general building and facility maintenance tasks
- Safety - follows company procedures and uses material and equipment per manufacturers' directions
- Other duties as assigned
Working Environment:
The production floor is NOT climate controlled.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
Noise levels in the facility can reach up to 90 decibels, requiring hearing protection as part of standard safety protocols.
