Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this vital role, you will support childhood development through attentive caregiving, educational activities, and positive behavior management.
Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, and emotional development
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their individual needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Practice first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding routines and developmental milestones
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior
- Certification in first aid and CPR is strongly recommended
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
