Lawn Care - Direct Support Professional

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled individual for our full-time position that can provide law care (seasonal) and Direct Support Professional. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong commitment to maintaining beautiful landscapes. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of our grounds, including landscape maintenance, lawn care, during seasonal. Also be a Direct Support Professional to our individuals.

For over a decade, PALS has been providing excellent services for the Individuals we serve. PALS is seeking experienced, energetic, strong and dedicated staff to assist in leading the exceptional services that are delivered to our Individuals daily.

LAWN CARE & DSP ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In this position, you will have a passion for upkeep and maintain beautiful landscapes, during the lawn care season, and your day will be what you make it! You will also work with our Individuals with developmental disabilities providing supervision and support, assisting with daily activities for living, providing safe transportation, and supplying accurate documentation of care and services provided. BUT you can accomplish these duties in a fun and satisfying manner by serving as a friend and mentor to our individuals, while planning, encouraging and carrying out fun and fruitful social and occupational activities!

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is required.
• Familiarity with handheld and commercial landscaping equipment is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of lawn care practices and plant care techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED
• Current Ohio Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
• Provide Auto Insurance Policy
• Acceptable Criminal Background verification
• Willingness to provide fun yet responsible supervision and assistance to adults with Developmental Disabilities.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written skills
• Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
• Maintains current and annual training requirements
• Operate power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
• Maintain equipment used in ground maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
