Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Manager of Nursing (Mgr, Nursing). Come join our Team for a challenging and rewarding career!
The Mgr, Nursing is part of the Leadership Team and is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing within assigned units which includes directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department, including nurses and behavioral health techs. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit and assisting the DCS in program development.

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Nursing Administration and/or a dedicated Leadership role in Psychiatric Nursing is preferred.
Licensure: Must be currently licensed to practice in AZ by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
