Position Summary:
The Patient Concierge serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors arriving at the hospital. This role is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming experience by assisting patients out of vehicles, greeting them at the entrance, and helping them navigate the hospital. The Patient Concierge ensures that every guest feels cared for, respected, and supported from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, families, and visitors warmly at the hospital entrance.
- Assist patients in and out of vehicles, including wheelchairs or mobility aids as needed.
- Provide directions and escort patients to appropriate departments or waiting areas.
- Answer questions and offer general information about hospital services and amenities.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Monitor entrance areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and accessibility.
- Support patients with special needs or mobility challenges.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient privacy standards.
- Respond to patient concerns or requests with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or healthcare preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of hospital layout and services (training provided).
