Position Overview:
Palmetto Supply Chain Consulting Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Risk Coordinator to support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will monitor potential disruptions, analyze operational data, coordinate risk-response activities, and work closely with clients, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to improve supply chain resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor supply chain operations for potential disruptions, delays, capacity constraints, and service issues.
- Identify and evaluate operational, transportation, supplier, inventory, and logistics risks.
- Maintain risk registers, incident logs, contingency plans, and mitigation documentation.
- Analyze supply chain performance data and identify trends that may indicate emerging risks.
- Coordinate responses to transportation delays, supplier disruptions, inventory shortages, and other operational issues.
- Work with logistics teams, suppliers, carriers, and clients to develop practical risk-mitigation strategies.
- Track key risk indicators, service levels, delivery performance, and supply chain KPIs.
- Assist with supplier and logistics partner risk assessments.
- Support business continuity and contingency planning initiatives.
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and management summaries for internal and client review.
- Escalate significant risks and operational issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to supply chain risk management.
- Participate in process-improvement projects designed to strengthen supply chain resilience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, operations, risk management, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with supply chain data, operational reports, and performance metrics.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with supply chain management systems, ERP platforms, or transportation management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of supplier management, transportation operations, inventory management, and business continuity principles is preferred.
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
