What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Photographer position at Palmetto State Armory L?
JOB PURPOSE |
The Product Photographer has full responsibility to ensure that all product photography, whether digitally displayed or for physical promotion (Marketing), for all non-manufactured brands and all manufactured brands under the JJECH corporation, which includes but not limited to Palmetto State Armory, DPMS, PSA Custom, Leadstar Arms, AAC Ammo, H&R are properly photographed & merchandised on the website.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
The Ecommerce Product Photographer has primary responsibility over all JJECH product photography within the corporation. This will include organizing projects related to product photography and ensuring that it’s merchandised on all available selling channels. Communicating with other cross-functional teams is necessary to be successful in providing optimal photography to the customer.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all product photography is photographed and adequately meets internal standards.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Use necessary tools to adjust lighting, remove blemishes and ensure the product is best displayed for the end consumer.
- Ensuring all captured photography is merchandised and marketed on all available platforms.
- Work closely with key stakeholders on particular projects that meet company needs.
- Prioritize urgent product photos (products needing a quick turnaround).
- Ensuring all equipment is performing adequately.
- Routinely re-evaluate tools & optimize, when necessary, tools to help efficiency and quality of all photographic projects.
- Travel between different manufacturing facilities to capture recently built/fabricated items.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS |
Some experience with firearms is preferred but is not a necessity. 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite. 3 years of experience with a DSLR.

WORKING CONDITIONS |
This position works primarily in a warehouse environment that may or may not be climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend or holiday hours. Additional training may be required based on business needs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
You may be required to lift heavy boxes to transport back to the photobooth. Long periods of standing might be necessary for project completion.
