JOB PURPOSE |
The Floater will assist in every area of the business to keep production goals and ensure customer expectations are met. Works with plant manager and other senior leadership to grow business and profitability of unit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Helps day-to-day manufacturing to achieve established production goals.
- Inspects equipment and processes as required to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Works closely with senior leadership to maximize plant safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Supports and maintains quality systems and daily work procedures to ensure production time is optimized.
- Work alongside production manager to ensure parts are in correct areas of operation.
- Adhere to guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling, removal, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- All other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS |
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a positive attitude, be goal-oriented and focused on the overall strategic picture of the organization and follow through with tasks assigned.
- Knowledge of materials processing, machining, and assembly processes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; and the flexibility to quickly address new directions/concerns.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must effectively work as part of a team.
- Must be dependable.
- Must always maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of pallet jack and/or forklift certified is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS |
Duties are performed primarily in a high-volume manufacturing environment, working with chemicals, and handling of materials.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
Must be at least 18 years old.
