Position Summary
The Smart Home Systems Specialist is a senior technical position responsible for designing, installing, programming, configuring, and commissioning integrated smart home systems.
This individual serves as both a technical expert and trusted advisor to our clients, ensuring every project reflects the quality and professionalism that define the Palmetto Smart Home brand.
Responsibilities
- Meet directly with homeowners and builders
- Conduct needs assessments and recommend technology solutions
- Prepare project proposals and equipment recommendations
- Design integrated smart home systems
- Lead installation teams when necessary
- Configure and commission complete smart home systems
- Program automation scenes and user interfaces
- Troubleshoot advanced system issues
- Provide client education and system walkthroughs
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from first meeting through project completion

Qualifications
- 7 years professional smart home integration experience preferred
- Proven ability to independently manage complete residential technology projects
- Strong networking knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Outstanding communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience working directly with high-end residential clients
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Compensation
$37–45/hour, depending on experience.
