Key Responsibilities
This internship offers hands-on exposure to the operations of a drilling & blasting contractor. You’ll work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining real-world experience in project planning, field operations, safety protocols, mechanical support, or administrative support, depending on your area of interest.
You will:
- Assist in site layout, surveying, and preparation
- Help with data collection, logging borehole metrics, and reporting
- Support safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance
- Aid in maintenance, mechanical, or equipment support tasks
- Contribute to project documentation, cost tracking, and reporting
- Participate in team meetings, project planning, and site coordination
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We don’t expect you to know everything — but we do expect:
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in construction, drilling, or blasting operations
- Basic understanding of engineering or geological principles (preferred)
- Familiarity with surveying tools, CAD software, or GIS (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated, able to work under supervision and in field conditions
- Ability to travel to project sites and work outdoors (weather, rough terrain)
