JOB SUMMARY
As a Line Cook at Greenwood Communities and Resorts, you are a vital part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring every plate meets our standards of quality service and hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
- Carefully follow standard recipes when pre-preparing and preparing all times.
- Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Have a good understanding of restaurant compliance under DHEC regulations for the state.
- Clean work station.
- Return unused food products to proper storage areas.
- Assist with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
- Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices.
- Ensure that soiled equipment is cleaned for proper sanitation.
- Maintain and ensure quality of product through expediting meal service.
Requirements
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
- 2 plus years as line cook
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
- Culinary degree from accredited school, qualified apprenticeship, or comparable work experience.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to stand and work for long periods of time in a high-heat environment.
