Job Summary:
Palmetto Dance Center is seeking a dependable and experienced Tumbling Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching students ages 4–15, focusing on clean technique, strength, and confidence in a structured and positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach tumbling skills ranging from foundational to advanced, including walkovers, aerials, and back handsprings.
- Demonstrate proper spotting and safety techniques.
- Create lesson plans that promote consistent progress and proper form.
- Provide constructive feedback and positive motivation for all students.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and safe classroom setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience teaching tumbling, gymnastics, or acro (dance studio experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of spotting and safe progressions.
- Ability to work well with students ages 4–15.
- Reliable, professional, and punctual.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.
Schedule:
Part-time with flexible weekday afternoon and evening hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.50 - $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 8 per week
Work Location: In person
