Position Summary

The Paving Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily paving operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role includes supervising crew members, coordinating equipment and materials, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct paving crews on asphalt and road construction projects.

• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.

• Ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance of paving equipment.

• Inspect work areas for quality, efficiency, and safety compliance.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors regarding job specifications.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members to promote skill development and teamwork.

• Monitor material quantities, deliveries, and equipment needs.

• Maintain accurate records of labor, equipment usage, and production.

• Enforce company safety policies and conduct daily safety meetings.

• Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide effective solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

• Minimum 3–5 years of paving or road construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving processes, equipment, and safety practices.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

• Valid driver’s license; clean 10 year MVR.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Field-based role on active construction sites.

• Exposure to loud machinery, dust, and heavy equipment.

• Requires travel to different job sites as needed.

Pay: $1,450.00 - $1,500.00 per week
