What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Palma Tool & Die?
Palma Tool & Die is an ISO9001/AS9100 certified company that is an industry leader in Aerospace machining with over 50 years of precision machining experience. We manufacture tight tolerance parts for aerospace, automotive, medical, food processing, and other manufacturing industries. We are currently hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our Quality Department on 1st shift.
Ideal Qualifications & Job Requirements:
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints along with GD&T knowledge.
· Experience with using Discus, MS Excel, and MS word a plus.
· Experience using CMM’s, optical comparators, digital height gauges, and other common measuring instruments.
· Ability to interpret workmanship standards related to cosmetic part features.
· Performs 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections along with performing floor audits.
· High school diploma or GED.
· Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Candidate should be a self-starter, be able to work independently, and be good at making decisions.
· Good problem-solving skills.
