This Opportunity:
Palladium's Digital Practice is seeking a Senior Technical Manager (STM) to lead multiple initiatives across our emerging portfolio of
US-based and infrastructure clients. This role provides digital
solution technical expertise and project management, including
public sector and commercial clients across industries such as architecture,
engineering and construction (AEC), transportation and energy. This STM will work closely with client engagement leads to analyze business processes
and client challenges, translating them into data and digital solutions. The
role will also work closely with software development teams and vendors to
manage product development and oversee end-to-end project delivery on client
engagements.
This role is highly flexible role, requiring adaptation to project
and client needs to ensure successful outcomes. This is an exciting
opportunity to apply a broad technology advisory skillset, working with modern
tools and methodologies (Atlassian suite, Microsoft Azure cloud, open-source
platforms, DevOps, Agile, AI/ML) to deliver impact.
Location and Compensation:
The position is based in Palladium's Arlington, VA office within
our Americas region.
Palladium supports a hybrid working model with 3 days in office, 2
days from home.
For our prospective employees in the United States, please note
that the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected
to range from $120,000 to $150,000. Please be advised that a final salary offer
will be based on various factors, including but not limited to your
qualifications, education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and
Palladium's business or organizational needs.
Reporting Lines:
- The role reports to the Account Manager for emerging markets within the Digital Practice
- There are no direct supervisory reports at the outset of this role, but the advisor will lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams (developers, analysts) in a matrix environment
- The STM will work closely with in-house software development teams and vendors to oversee software product development and coordinate with clients and project stakeholders to deliver solutions
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Technology Advisory
- Provide
overall advisory on the development and implementation of enterprise
architectures, including system and interoperability frameworks and
technology stacks
- Lead client
business analysis activities, understanding both functional and
non-functional requirements by engaging stakeholders and end-users to
refine system design and ensure alignment with client goals
- Work
with client engagement leads to produce rapid prototypes and configure
product demonstrations to meet client requirements
- Conduct
technology assessments to understand current systems, infrastructure and
processes in order to produce product, implementation and governance
strategies.
- Lead the
development of client facing deliverables such as reports, strategies and
technical documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients/users and technical teams, translating client feedback and requests into actionable technical enhancements or features
Project Management & Product Ownership
- Manage
the end-to-end solution delivery process for clients, working closely with
client engagement leads and software development teams from discovery to
closeout, including high level budget and deliverable tracking
- Analyze
and develop product strategies, including development and oversight of product
roadmaps for each initiative, ensuring alignment with client needs and
strategic objectives
- Prioritize
requirements across multiple clients into development sprints, while supporting
user acceptance testing, and maintaining comprehensive
documentation (use cases, process flows, specifications)
- In
collaboration with software development project managers, plan and manage
project execution using Agile methodologies, breaking
down objectives into actionable tasks, overseeing sprint cycles,
assigning resources, and monitoring progress to meet client deadlines
- Proactively identify and
mitigate risks or blockers, and communicate project status and progress to
clients, stakeholders, and management
Business Development Support
- Lead
technical proposals, capability statements, and the formation of
technology partnerships to support business growth, including technical
inputs into budgets and pricing
Essential
Criteria:
- Master's degree in information systems, business administration, engineering, computer science or equivalent years of relevant experience
- 10 years of experience working in technology advisory or professional services background for public sector or commercial clients; experience in the AEC, transportation, energy sector is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in project management of digital initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery of technology solutions
- Proven experience leading
client engagements and delivering complex solutions
- Strong communication,
facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge in
emerging technologies and innovation methodologies including familiarity
with AI, automation, and data integration platforms
- Proven ability to lead workstreams, manage client interactions, and deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives

Desirable
Criteria:
- Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to optimize business processes, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making; explore and prototype solutions using platforms, cloud-based AI services, and open-source frameworks to accelerate innovation and delivery
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master/Product Owner, TOGAF (Architecture)
