What You’ll Do

The Manufacturing Engineer will ensure that all assembly processes, equipment, and supporting systems operate to their maximum effectiveness. This role will adhere to specified safety and cost constraints as well as provide confirm that all products are of the highest possible quality. Maintain regular contact with production supervisors to keep them apprised of production floor issues encountered daily.

Responsibilities (Including other duties as assigned)

  • Develop all process sheets (Work Instructions) necessary to manufacture all products and ensure quality within established cost limits.
  • Update BOM’s to reflect CAR and approved process improvements.
  • Properly define all test parameters for electrical and mechanical integrity of the products.
  • Use input and guidance from design and test engineers to ensure that safety, quality, and environmental issues are considered and implemented.
  • Teach, implement, and sustain DFSS and DFM processesforengineering development projects.
  • Work with engineers and prototype/sampledepartmentto ensure new products are properly documentedwithBOM and process sheets.
  • Plan, document, and provide periodic status reports on test results, processes, and workflow improvements.
  • Generate PPAP packages to include Capability Studies, FMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Plan, document, control, and analyze RMA (Returned Material) todetermineroot cause and developappropriate correctiveaction that willeliminatefuture non-conformities.
  • Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and use complaints toidentifyareas that may need development or improvement.
  • Assistin the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is usedin accordance withsafety regulations and company rules.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure that all environmental and health and safety regulations arecomplied withand implemented onthe productionfloor.
  • Operate and train others on a wide range of equipment and tasksincluding Calipers, Voltmeter, Assembly of aids,jigs,fixtures, Electrical resistance welders, Ultrasonic welders, Electrical testing, Product labeling, and Shrink wrapping.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’sdegree or equivalent education in Industrial, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology.
  • Minimum of1-3years related work experience in an electronics assembly environment.
  • Ability to use project management tools, MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and AutoCAD to efficiently handle the workflow and transactions generated.
  • Experience with MRP, MRP-II, or ERP systems and knowledge of ISO 9001, DFSS, DFM, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), TPS, 5S, TQMpreferred.
  • Ability tooperateCalipers, Voltmeter, Electrical resistance welders, Ultrasonic welders, and other power supplies.
  • Knowledge ofelectrical testing,product labeling,shrink wrapping,technical drawings,andassembling aids, jigs,and fixtures.
  • Experienced and able to do time studies, flow analysis,workloadbalancing, process sequenceanalysisand/or value stream mapping, TAKT Time.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
