General Manager - Construction

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and strategic General Manager to lead our residential generator installation and service business. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, managing financial performance, building and developing a high-performing team, and executing growth initiatives. Duties

• Provide strong team leadership by building, training, and developing a dedicated workforce of approximately 10 employees.
• Manage daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and operational excellence within the generator installation and service business.
• Oversee financial management including profit & loss responsibilities, budgeting, and cost control to maximize profitability.
• Drive sales growth through strategic planning, market expansion, and effective execution of sales and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with ownership group on scaling efforts by implementing new systems, technology upgrades, and process improvements.
• Lead the development of operational strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators to track progress toward business goals and identify areas for improvement.
• Act as a key representative of the company in client relations, vendor negotiations, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management within the construction or service industry; experience with generator installation or related fields is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing teams.
• Financial acumen with experience managing profit & loss statements and driving profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to lead sales initiatives and execute growth strategies effectively.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• A driven mindset with a hunger for growth and success; eager to build upon existing momentum.
• Ability to adapt to new systems, technologies, and processes as part of scaling efforts.
• Experience in home services and electrical work is preferred but not required.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
