Job Summary

Job Summary

The Preschool site supervisor works in a child development facility and implements a child development program and provides related educational services for children as per state law and regulations. Site supervisor stimulates the children's curiosity and imagination by providing them with opportunities to learn "play" experiences and to question, observe, investigate, and experiment. The Site Supervisor introduces and directs art, music, language communication, play, and other creative activities; helps each child (whether a newcomer, hyperactive, or shy) adjust to the preschool setting as naturally and comfortably as possible; and helps children adapt to group living. The site supervisor is aware of each child's mental, physical, and emotional needs and potential; consults with parents, administrators, and child development specialists; and provides a school "readiness" program.

The Superintendent designates the following position as the district's 504 Coordinator to implement the requirements of Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973: (34 CFR 104.7) School Psychologist/Coordinator of Special Education 7390 Bulldog Way, Palermo CA 95968 (530) 533-4842, ext. 107 -To comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, all new employees must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply. AA/EOE/IX
