Title: Administrative Assistant
Department/Division:Social Services

Salary: Hourly / DOE
Supervisor: Social Services Director
Subordinates: Not Applicable
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative, clerical, support to the Director of Social Services.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Social Services
- Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables related to grants
- Maintain organized grant and program files
- Assist with preparation for audits, monitoring, and site reviews
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, and prevention-related activities
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with federal and tribal regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum two years administrative experience
- Valid California Drivers License and clean driving record
- Must acknowledge and agree to maintain a Drug-Free workplace (including marijuana) as a condition of employment with the Pala Band of Mission Indians.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug testing during employment.
- Must successfully pass a Fingerprint-based background check of potential employees, volunteers, and contractors pursuant to Public Law 101-630 - Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
- Indian preference will apply. The Pala Band of Mission Indians will give hiring preference to fully qualified applicants who are Pala Tribal Members.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
All employees are expected to follow the Tribal Employee Handbook of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and must adhere to any additional applicable addendums.
