POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiter/HR Generalist will be responsible for assisting with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and benefits enrollment.

DUTIES
• Hiring: Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for open positions.
• Onboarding: Implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
• Benefits: Facilitating enrollment.
• Policies: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
• Communication: Creating and distributing internal communications, and assisting with the communication of employee handbooks, directories, and organizational charts.
• Relationships: Developing and maintaining relationships with employment agencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Consulting: Consulting with and managing internal and external partners, such as legal counsel and benefits plan vendors.

• Communication: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be able to communicate well with both employees and management. He/she needs to be able to listen to employees to accurately address questions/concerns.
• Confidentiality: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be able to keep sensitive information private.
• Talent acquisition: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be able to identify and attract the right candidates for each position.
• Knowledge of employment laws and company policies/practices: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be familiar with employment laws as well as company's policies and practices in order to provide accurate responses to questions/concerns from employees and management.
• Empathy and emotional intelligence: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be able to create a safe space for employees to share their concerns.
• Transparency, trust, and caring: the Recruiter/HR Generalist needs to be committed to the success of Pal-Con and its employees; he/she must be dependable, transparent, trustworthy, and flexible as well as quality results driven.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • 3-5 years of relevant Recruiting/HR experience • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Requires excess amounts of sitting and computer work. • Requires excess amounts of correspondence - written and verbal
Work schedule:
Full time; Monday through Thursday, 7 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay rate will depend on experience.
