PAL-CON, Ltd. specializes in repairing, refurbishing, manufacturing, removing, and installing gas turbine regenerators for the natural gas and electric utility industries, along with fabrication and industrial services for a wide range of other sectors.
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter/Fabricator to join our team. This position involves structural steel fabrication, equipment repair, industrial construction support, and metal fabrication work in both shop and field environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Fabricate and modify steel structures according to drawings and specifications
- Construct, repair, refurbish, and dismantle heavy metal structures
- Fabricate catwalks, pipelines, and ductwork
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Maintain quality workmanship while meeting production schedules
- Follow all company and job site safety regulations
- Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and team members
- Travel to job sites as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing or construction environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in tight spaces, elevated areas, and physically demanding conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid identification required
Schedule
Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation & Benefits
Pay is negotiable based on experience. This position includes a 90-day introductory period. PAL-CON offers competitive wages and benefits for eligible employees.
