Position Title: Nurse Practitioner

FLSA Status: Full-time Monday thru Thursday (4-10)
Location: Multiple Tucson clinic locations
Position Summary
Pain Institute of Southern Arizona is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. We are a high-volume practice with an emphasis on intervention including a variety of advanced procedures. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide direct patient care, examining and diagnosing conditions based on physical findings, patient symptomatology, diagnostic testing, and medical history. They will work as part of an NP/physician team to provide comprehensive, collaborative care to pain patients. Our ideal candidate has experience with diverse and complex conditions and patient populations.
Role Overview/ Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, facilitating new and follow-up patient visits. Perform specialty focused physical examinations using medical history, symptomatology, and physical findings to diagnose problems and determine a plan of care. Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging and lab work. Educate patients on diagnostic test results, medications, procedures, and treatment plans. Recommend further treatment options and future appointments if needed. Provide referrals to other practitioners when appropriate and analyze outside records and reports. Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families. Document accurately and timely while maintaining confidentiality of patient records. Follow all federal, state, nursing and practice guidelines, regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications
•Master’s degree in Nursing.
•Current Arizona nursing license & advanced practice certificate.
•Current DEA license.
•Current BLS card.
•Practice in Electronic Health Care Records, e-prescribing, and radiology portals.
•Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• 2 years of nursing experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Multiple clinic locations. Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.
