Mobile Engineer (React Native) — Stealth Fintech Startup
We’re working with a well-funded, early-stage fintech building something ambitious in the global payments space. Still under the radar, the team is tackling how money moves across borders — faster, simpler, and without the usual friction.
They’re now hiring their first mobile-focused engineer to take ownership of the iOS and Android experience.
This is a high-impact role: you’ll be shaping the product from the ground up, working closely with a small, senior team, and turning complex financial flows into clean, intuitive mobile experiences.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning and scaling a cross-platform mobile app (React Native)
- Designing seamless user journeys around sending and managing money
- Shipping features end-to-end — from idea to production
- Collaborating closely with product and design in a fast-moving environment
- Building for real-world reliability, performance, and security
What they’re looking for
- 3 years building mobile apps with React Native
- Strong experience with modern tooling (Expo / EAS or similar)
- Product-minded engineer with a sharp eye for UX
- Comfortable owning projects independently in a startup setting
- Interest in fintech, payments, or emerging financial tech
Nice to have
- Experience in early-stage or small teams
- Background in fintech, wallets, or payments
- Exposure to cloud platforms or secure systems
