Director of Product Engineering

Product & Technology Leader (Hybrid Role)

Location: Boston or Washington DC (hybrid, ~1–2 days/week in office)

We’re looking for a highly capable, hands-on operator to lead across product delivery, technology oversight, and innovation in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment.

This is a unique hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and business, owning outcomes end-to-end without needing to code.

The Role

• Own the full product lifecycle, from requirements through delivery

• Translate client and business needs into clear, structured product plans

• Lead Agile delivery (roadmaps, sprints, user testing)

• Work closely with outsourced engineering teams to ensure quality execution

• Own internal systems and technology infrastructure (e.g. Salesforce and core tools)

• Oversee SOC2 and cybersecurity processes with external partners

• Explore and implement AI-driven improvements across product and workflows

Key Skills Required

• 5–7 years’ experience in product, technology, or hybrid roles

• Strong experience working with engineering teams (ideally outsourced)

• Proven ability to run or significantly contribute to a product process

• Comfortable operating across multiple domains (product, tech, ops)

• Excellent communicator, proactive, direct, and highly collaborative

• Curious, self-learning mindset, especially around AI and emerging tools

Desired Skills

• Financial services or adjacent industry experience

• Startup or highly agile environment background

• Exposure to Salesforce or similar enterprise tools

• Experience with SOC2 or cybersecurity processes

• Vendor or external engineering team management
