Legal Counsel

The Legal Counsel will provide expert legal advice and support to the company's operations within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. This role involves offering guidance reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on varied legal matters, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks to support business objectives effectively.

The company operates within the industrial and manufacturing sector - this role can be based hybrid out of the Mesa, AZ, Brookfield, WI locations or remote with some travel to the office.

Description

The Legal Counsel will be responsible for:

• Providing legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to safeguard the company's interests.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the industrial and manufacturing sector.
• Advise management on legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal support on business transactions and projects.
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations that may impact the company.
• Assist in resolving disputes and managing litigation matters as required.

Profile

The successful Legal Counsel should have:

• 4 years experience with legal matters either in-house, private practice, or combined.
• JD or LLM degree.
• Spanish or French language skills highly beneficial.
• Experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector desirable but not essential.
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for advising management and collaborating with internal teams.
• Highly collaborative, working closely with counterparts across the global legal function.
