They are seeking a Compliance Director to oversee and strengthen their compliance program, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting business growth.
Job Description
Reporting into the firm's C-suite and ownership structure, the Compliance Director will:
- Analyze internal business systems, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards
- Develop, update, and implement company-wide policies
- Oversee and coordinate work with external compliance consultants
- Advise on and implement procedures for GDPR, CCPA, and other state/country-level privacy regulations
- Serve as an in-house legal advisor to the customer support team on sensitive communications
- Educate employees on compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary

The Successful Applicant
In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:
- JD and proven expertise in compliance and regulatory matters
- 5 years of compliance experience, ideally within technology, finance, or education-related industries
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, internet privacy regulations, and intellectual property rules
- Familiarity with compliance in relation to finance, financial services and investing
- Experience managing external compliance consultants/firms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset, patience under pressure, and a detail-oriented, solutions-driven approach
- Ability to make it into office in Western MA, on an ad hoc basis, at relatively short notice. ie. Successful candidate will be based in New England.
