Essential Responsibilities: The individual will be working to develop tests for memory, FPGAs, CPUs, ASIC or other digital devices within radiation environments. Tasking may include: Writing software to interact with devices Creating post-processing scripts in Python to analyze data, and documenting findings Individuals may be asked to present findings at conferences or share with the radiation effects community depending on customer requirements. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 or more years of job-related experience. 3 years VHDL or Verilog experience necessary 2 years Python Experience necessary Strong technical writing background Ability to travel, as required. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance with an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance) Preferred Qualifications: 3 years printed circuit board design strongly preferred Deep knowledge of device physics in semiconductors strongly preferred Deep knowledge of radiation effects in semiconductors strongly preferred 3 years Developing/Testing microelectronics preferred Knowledge of High-Speed digital design best practices preferred Familiarity of LabVIEW strongly preferred Experience with semiconductor fabrication tools and processes Active Secret Clearance Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
