Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and emptying skimmer baskets to keep pools spotless and inviting
- Conduct regular pool maintenance checks such as testing water chemistry levels and adjusting chemicals to ensure safe swimming conditions
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; perform repairs or coordinate repairs as needed
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to repair or replace faulty equipment or components
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs for each pool serviced
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to protect yourself and clients’ property
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures to prepare pools for peak usage periods or off-season storage
- Perform routine liner changes for inground inground pools
Experience
- Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is highly preferred; familiarity with pool systems is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, including troubleshooting pumps, filters, heaters, and other pool machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in maintenance tasks
- Experience with pool cleaning techniques and chemical balancing to ensure water quality standards are met consistently
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines
- Service-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
