Position Description:
- Seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for a 100% outpatient role—no hospital work or call.
- At PADS, we refer to our Registered Nurse as ‘Clinical Specialists’ (RN/CS)
- The RN/CS role operates under the direct supervision and delegation of the physician and performs all assigned duties as directed by the providers within the RN scope of practice.
- This role DOES NOT exercise independent medical judgment.
- The ideal candidate must adhere to all applicable PADS policies and procedures and adapt and be ready to cross-train in a variety of our Clinical Specialist positions. CS1 (Pre- and Post-Procedure), CS2 (Consults), CS3 (First Assistant to Physician Proceduralist), and CS4 (Procedure Room Circulator): Documentation completion
- This role requires the candidate to be ACLS certified.
- Important: we use fluoroscopy in the procedure suite, which emits low-level radiation. While this is standard, and all Team Members in the procedure suite wear protective lead, this position is not appropriate for pregnant women or women who may become pregnant.
Duties:
- Assess patients (history, vitals, risk factors).
- Respond promptly to emergencies, performing necessary interventions (e.g., CPR) and coordinating transfers.
- Monitor for complications and manage acute symptoms to prevent escalation.
- Educate patients/families to reduce readmissions.
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner in assessing suitability for outpatient revascularization and follow-up care.
- Provide patient/family education on procedures, pre-/post-op care, medications, and recovery.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Administer pre- & post-operative medications.
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation under the Personal supervision and direction of the Physician Proceduralist to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor post-sedation recovery and overall condition.
- Manage pain, provide wound care, and monitor for access site infection.
- Assess discharge readiness in accordance with discharge criteria and review post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
Locations & Travel
- Location(s): Rio Grande Valley: Edinburg, Brownsville, Harlingen, Texas.
- You will need to travel to all locations to receive full-time hours.
- Other travel may be required for training purposes or to provide coverage, with all travel accommodations fully paid for by the company.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Saturdays and/or Sundays (Between 0-2 weekend days per month) required
- 8-12 hour shifts; starts as early as 6:30 AM (patient-dependent).

- 18-month minimum commitment
