Service Writer

PacWest Machinery is recruiting for an experienced Service Writer based at its branch in Kent, WA. We are seeking an individual who takes pride in their work and will play a key role by facilitating the proper and timely servicing of customer and company-owned fleets of construction equipment.

The successful applicant will support the Company by fulfilling these job responsibilities:

• Open, manage and close work orders
• Schedule shop or field work orders
• Prepare and process all necessary paperwork for service work orders.
• Responsible for entering transactions into the company’s dealer business system and ensuring accurate invoicing.
• Maintain regular contact with customers about repair status while equipment is in the PacWest shop
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - the ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Two to three years of experience in service writing in the construction equipment industry, or a related capital goods sector.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the basic types of equipment in the construction and supporting industries.
• Strong capabilities in the use of standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and knowledge of typical dealer business systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Candidate who is able to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail, professionalism and customer service.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• A team player with strong references from former employers and colleagues.
• Outstanding qualifications in certain categories may help to offset a lack of experience in other areas.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
