About Pact

Pact is a sustainable apparel brand on a mission to build a better world through better basics. We make organic, fair trade certified clothing that doesn't compromise on quality, style, or the planet and we're growing fast. We're building an exceptional, lean product team to match that ambition, and this role is central to that build.

Role Summary

The Product Line Manager owns the tactical execution of the product line, from concept through delivery. This role is the operational backbone of the line: it keeps the calendar on track, connects merchandising to design, development, and production, keeps cost and sample data accurate, and owns the team's system of record in the PLM platform.

This is a support and execution role today, built with a clear path to greater ownership as the person in it grows.

What This Role Owns
  • Line plan management — maintain the master seasonal line plan to ensure accuracy across all departments.
  • Cross-functional coordination — the day-to-day connective tissue between merch and design, development, and production (tech packs, fit approvals, cost sheets, sample tracking)
  • In-season reporting — monitor sell-through and flag inventory risks so team can act quickly on reorders, markdowns, or promotional support.
  • VLP maintenance — keep the visual line plan updated in real time as styles move through development, so it accurately reflects current assortment status; the Director owns the strategy the VLP represents, this role owns keeping it current day to day.
  • Post-season hindsight support — compile style-level performance data (by color, category, and price point) to feed the post-season analysis and next season's brief.
  • Brief support — help pull competitive shop-alongs, pricing comps, and trend research for briefs. Keep the brief templates and past seasons organized for easy reference.
  • Centric ownership — serve as the merch team's owner of the PLM system: style setup, workflow gates, data integrity, and troubleshooting/training for the team
  • Line review prep — build and organize materials for line reviews; presents under the Director's direction
  • GTM partnership on line changes — partner with the GTM counterpart to communicate line adds, changes, and drops as they happen; keep them current on upcoming launches, and help audit the running log kept in the channel so it stays accurate and easy to reference.
  • Comfort using AI tools AI is part of how our team works. This role partners closely with design, technical development, planning, and GTM to support moving product through the calendar with quality and intention.
What This Role Does Not Own (Year One)
  • Seasonal strategy, and assortment architecture — owned by the Director of Merchandising
  • Buy quantities, reorders, and markdown decisions — owned by the Director of Planning
  • Direct reports
Reporting & Escalation
  • Reports to the Director of Merchandising for their category (Seasonal)
  • No direct reporting line to the Chief Merchant, Women's — visibility happens through line reviews and Director-led updates
  • Escalation path: PLM flags to Director; Director escalates to Chief Merchant as needed
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in merchandising, product development, or planning at an apparel or consumer brand
  • Comfortable owning a PLM, Centric,  or similar system of record; strong systems and process instincts
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple timelines at once
  • Proficiency in Excel — comfortable with pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and multi-tab workbooks
  • Comfortable with data — Domo experience a plus
  • Clear, proactive communicator across design, development, and production
  • Exposure to AI tools like Claude a plus — willingness to learn is required
  • Familiarity with fashion/trend-driven product cycles
